Göztepe SK, one of the leading sports clubs in Izmir and Turkey, has been dealing with the issues surrounding the land in Torbalı for its youth and academy facilities for quite some time. The plans for Göztepe’s youth facilities also include a sports academy where children and young people can continue both their education and sports careers together. These facilities have turned into a complex problem between the district municipality, metropolitan municipality, and the central government for a long time. In fact, the problems faced by such a valuable facility also present an opportunity for Seferihisar.

If these facilities were to be built in Seferihisar, it would be a significant gain for both the club and the district. Another equally important aspect is the necessity for Seferihisar to create brand value. Göztepe SK is not only the largest civil society organization in Izmir but also its most valuable brand. This brand, which is synonymous with Güzelyalı, will increase the brand value of Seferihisar as well. With its geographical location and transportation opportunities, as well as its proximity to Gürsel Aksel Stadium and the facilities in Urla, Seferihisar is in a much more advantageous position in this regard.

The initiative of Seferihisar Municipality in gaining such a facility, which will contribute greatly both in terms of sports and brand value, will make Göztepe supporters in our district and all of Izmir very happy and will provide significant gains for our district.
